Ruth Lee Bariatric Training Manikins are designed to provide realistic training for situations involving plus-size and bariatric casualties. They enable organisations to practise the safe handling, lifting, movement, evacuation and rescue of heavier casualties in controlled training environments.

The range is suitable for Fire & Rescue, ambulance services, hospitals, healthcare providers, care homes, prisons, airlines, shipping and cruise operators, as well as other organisations that may need to plan for the safe movement of heavier people.

Bariatric casualty handling can present different challenges from standard casualty rescue, particularly where additional personnel, specialist equipment or alternative evacuation procedures may be required. Using a realistic heavyweight training manikin allows teams to practise these scenarios, evaluate their procedures and build practical experience before responding to a real incident.

The range includes 50kg, 90kg, 180kg and 260kg Bariatric Adult Manikins, all measuring 1.8m in height. The different weights allow organisations to select a training manikin appropriate to their operational requirements, from healthcare and equipment demonstrations through to demanding multi-person rescue exercises.
