All lifejackets serviced with I.C. Brindle & Co. Ltd are re-armed as a matter of course, irrespective of the date or remaining service life of the re-arming components. Re-arming is carried out as the company cannot verify how the lifejackets have been stored prior to servicing, this also ensures they are safe for use when/if needed whilst keeping in line with commercial/professional recommendations. Lifejacket Re-arming has an additional cost of £12.92 + VAT.

How Often Should I Get my Lifejacket Serviced?
Annual servicing is an essential requirement for all lifejackets for professional use. And a strong recommendation from governing authorities worldwide when used recreationally.
Commercial regulations state that SOLAS lifejackets should be re armed yearly. According to the UK MCA’s MGN 548 (M+F) Amendment 1, SOLAS-certificated inflatable life-saving appliances must be serviced at intervals not exceeding 12 months and serviced at an approved service station.
