The Jotron PRU-50 is a USB-powered programmer for Jotron EPIRBs and the Tron TR20 VHF, helping you keep your equipment up to date. To use software versions 5.0.1 and higher, you must complete Jotron’s Online Learning Course 200017.

Regular updates improve performance and compatibility, with Version 5.0.3 (Dec 2022) adding better support for older EPIRBs and Android smartphone programming for Jotron AIS EPIRBs. Version 5.3.0 (Jan 2024) included general updates, while Version 5.3.9 (Jan 2025) introduced a new PDF report design, extended the application expiry to Feb 2027, corrected software text, and fixed bugs.

The PRU-50 now supports Windows 10 or newer for smooth operation.
