HELICOPTER QUICK STROP

NSN 4240-01-545-6722

Currently in use with US Coast Guard ,Army, Navy & Airforce. Constructed of MIL-SPEC webbing and stainless steel hardware, the Quick strop provides a quick, safe means of hoisting uninjured personnel to safety. This Rescue Strop is designed to be placed under tharms and around the back. You can then slide the Quick Strop over the head of the survivior, and into place easily, through one quick motion. Sliding the friction buckle down the Strop, attached to the adjustable crotch safety strap (stored in the zipper ppocket on the rear of the strop) prevents the casualty from slipping out

Helicopter Quick Strop Key Features & Equipment Benefits:

  • Approved for use by the US Coast Guard
  • Strong and durable
  • Adjustable safety crotch-strap, stored in a zip-pocket on the rear of the strop
  • Quick and easy to secure, by:
  • slipping it over the feet and working it up to the chest
  • Placing it over the head, slipping the arms through, and fastening the crotch-strap
  • Releasing one end of the webbing, passing the strap around the casualty, re-securing the strap into its D-ring, and fastening the crotch-strap.
  • User-friendly equipment: Instructions and pictorials are printed on the strop

How do I Use My Quick Strop?

  • The strop can be placed over the head and positioned around the back and under the arms. Or, remove the red strap of the slide buckle to wrap around the patient if patient cannot release hands for over-the-head donning.
  • If v-ring is removed, reinsert through slide buckle, pull slide buckle down both webbing legs to snug strop around upper chest (under arms), with adjustor positioned in front of chest.
  • Remove crotch strap from pocket, pass between the legs and clip hook on to slide buckle. Adjust as required, leaving slightly loose as strap will pull up during hoisting.
  • Keep arms down and folded across chest. See pictorial on inside of strop.
  • Do not fold the padded area of the strop
  • These instructions and pictorials are printed on the Rescue Strop.
