H20/MRU Remote Dual Assembly (YELLOW - GREEN) - RFD MES type, EC Approved Remote Release Unit - Dual Assembly H20/MRU for Raft - HC-0200
The H20/MRU Remote Dual Assembly* is an EC-approved remote dual assembly release unit designed specifically for RFD MES (Marine Evacuation System) applications. The dual assembly ensures optimal safety during emergency deployments of rafts or MES equipment. Complete with 1m tubing and two sleeve hoses. Knotted weak link is included.
The H20 Dual Assembly allows for more than one release option and/or redundancy or dual points of release. This is achieved by connecting MRUs (Manual Release Unit) and ERUs (Electronic Release Unit) to an HRU (Hydrostatic Release Unit). This way, you can fulfil SOLAS requirements combined with a remote release.

Hammar H20/MRU Dual Release System (YELLOW- GREEN) - HC-0200 EC Certified Liferaft Release Unit - Dual Assembly for RFD MES
The Hammar H20/MRU Dual Remote Release System is a reliable and efficient solution for liferaft deployment in emergencies. Designed for RFD MES systems, it ensures dependable performance for vessels and platforms requiring dual assembly setups. This system integrates with the Manual Remote Release System (MRRS) for added flexibility in smaller or less complex arrangements. Using a hand-operated pneumatic pump, the MRRS creates a vacuum that activates one or more Hammar H20 units, lifting the membrane and triggering the spring-loaded knife to release the liferaft.
The MRU's mission is to release the object when activated by the pump (control unit). The MRU is often found in a dual arrangement, where it will cut off the lashing in a controlled evacuation. The release unit is replaced after use or after 24 or 30 months onboard. It is particularly suited for installations up to 50 meters in length, making it an ideal choice for compact or limited setups.
The Hammar H20/MRU is EC-certified and compliant with SOLAS regulations, offering reliable activation (H20 R For Raft) at depths between 1.5–4.0 metres. It features a durable, corrosion-resistant design and operates within a wide temperature range to ensure performance in extreme marine conditions.
Key Features & Equipment Benefits:
- Manual Remote Release System (MRRS) Integration: Enables activation of H20 units using a hand-operated vacuum pump for controlled liferaft release.
- Manual Deployment System: Allows users to manually deploy the liferaft for added flexibility during emergencies.
- Pneumatic Operation: Hand pump evacuates air to create under-pressure, lifting the H20 membrane and triggering the spring-loaded knife.
- Automatic Release (H20 R): Ensures liferaft deployment when submerged between 1.5 and 4 metres depth, in line with IMO/SOLAS standards.
- Ideal for Compact Setups: Designed for installations up to 50 metres, offering a reliable solution for smaller systems with few liferafts or other units.
- Efficient Design: Provides precise and dependable operation in emergency situations.
- Breaking Strength, Strong Rope: Provides a minimum breaking strength of 15 kN for robust and secure performance.
