Spencer Dakar basket stretcher is designed for the recovery and transport of patients in high-risk rescue environments where standard transport equipment is not suitable. It is intended for use in situations where it is necessary to protect the patient from side impacts during movement over difficult terrain or in restricted access areas. The stretcher can be used in technical rescue operations where conventional evacuation methods cannot be safely applied.

The Dakar stretcher can also be lifted using hoisting systems connected to fixed anchor points, allowing controlled evacuation while maintaining the stretcher in a stable horizontal position. This function is only possible when used with a compatible Spencer harnessing system to ensure safe lifting and transport. The design is focused entirely on patient safety and controlled handling during recovery operations, and it is not intended for any patient-operated use.
