The Spencer Universal Flotation System is a two-piece basket stretcher flotation device designed to increase the buoyancy of compatible Spencer basket stretchers and spine boards during water rescue and aquatic rescue operations. The system is secured with 3 quick-release buckles and features a removable PVC coating for easier cleaning and drying.

Spencer Universal Flotation System for Basket Stretchers - Universal Floating Device for Basket Stretchers and Spine Boards - STX 518, STX 537

The Spencer Universal Flotation Devices are specialist basket stretcher flotation systems designed to increase the buoyancy of compatible Spencer basket stretchers and spine boards during water rescue, aquatic rescue and emergency rescue operations*. Available in both one-piece and two-piece configurations, these flotation devices provide additional buoyancy to compatible rescue equipment when operating in or around water.

The ST04525 one-piece flotation device is designed as a single, extended flotation unit measuring Ø150 × 3330 ± 10 mm. When fully immersed, it provides 550 N of buoyancy thrust and weighs 3.1 ± 0.1 kg. Its longer one-piece construction provides a dedicated flotation solution for compatible Spencer rescue equipment requiring increased buoyancy during water rescue operations.

The ST04518B two-piece universal flotation system consists of two flotation devices, with each piece measuring Ø150 × 1020 ± 10 mm and weighing 2.2 ± 0.1 kg. When fully immersed, the flotation device provides 300 N total buoyancy thrust. The two-piece system is secured using three quick-release buckles, allowing the flotation devices to be attached and removed efficiently from compatible rescue equipment. A removable PVC coating also allows the system to be cleaned and dried more easily after use.

Both flotation device configurations are manufactured using PE, PVC and nylon, providing a durable construction for professional rescue equipment and water rescue applications. The systems are designed to increase the flotation capability of compatible basket stretchers and spine boards, helping support the use of rescue equipment in aquatic environments.

The ST04525 one-piece flotation device and ST04518B two-piece universal flotation system provide professional flotation solutions for compatible Spencer rescue equipment. The ST04518B is classified as a Class I Medical Device and complies with EU Regulation 2017/745, with CND Classification V0899 and registration number 188130.

*Note - Compatibility should always be checked before use. These flotation devices are not suitable for the Spencer Dakar, Dakota or Dakota Light basket stretchers, as these models cannot be used in water.
