Integrated Lifebuoy Housing Range for 24" and 30" Lifebuoys. Choose between two pole options: the GRP hard-surface pole for areas with concrete or asphalt, or the GRP sub-surface 'long' pole for areas with soft ground. the 30" Integrated Lifebuoy Housing option includes the SOS400 Lockable Housing Cabinet with two interlocking doors for added security.

Integrated Lifebuoy Housing Range 24" & 30" Lifebuoy Housing / Cabinet Set

The Integrated Lifebuoy Housing options for 24" and 30" Lifebuoys. Offering a secure and durable way to store lifebuoys in outdoor areas such: marinas, ports, construction sites, beaches, jettys, lakes, and rivers. The housing unit is designed to encase the lifebuoy and protect it from environmental factors such as wind, rain, and sunlight, which can cause deterioration over time.

One of the options is GRP  hard-surface poles. These poles is designed to provide stability and support to the housing unit, ensuring that it remains upright and in place. The base plate of the pole is bolted securely to the ground, which provides a solid foundation for the housing unit. This option is ideal for areas with hard ground, such as concrete or asphalt.

The other option for the Premium Lifebuoy Housing is a GRP Sub-Surface 'Long' Poles. These poles is specifically designed to be concreted into the ground, which provides a secure anchor point for the housing unit. This option is particularly useful in areas with soft ground, such as sand or loose soil, where a hard-surface pole may not be suitable. The sub-surface pole provides a sturdy and reliable support system for the housing unit, ensuring that the lifebuoy is easily accessible in case of an emergency.

The 30" Lifebuoy Integrated Housing within the range features the SOS400 30" Integrated Lockable Lifebuoy Housing Cabinet and two interlocking doors — for additional security, and protection of the encapsulated lifebuoy and throwing line.

National Waterside Safety Guidlines:

Before installing life-saving equipment like lifebuoys and lifebuoy housings, it's crucial to conduct a thorough risk assessment, following the guidelines recommended by the National Water Safety Forum. At I.C. Brindle, we firmly believe that focusing on preventing water accidents is just as important as having the right rescue gear.

Should the decision be made to install lifebuoys and lifebuoy equipment, adherence to the following guidelines set forth by the National Water Safety (https://www.nationalwatersafety.org.uk/) is essential:

  1. Strategic Positioning: Lifebuoys should be strategically positioned in easily accessible locations, clearly visible, and preferably in the distinct colours of red or yellow to enhance visibility.
  2. Optimal Height: Ensure that lifebuoys are mounted at a maximum height of 1.7 metres above ground level for easy accessibility.
  3. Regular Maintenance: Regular inspections of lifebuoys and their housings are essential. Any signs of wear, damage, or tampering should prompt immediate replacement to guarantee their effectiveness in rescue situations.
  4. Considered Placement: The placement and spacing of life-saving equipment should be determined based on identified risks, Areas where people congregate or are prone to accidents should be given priority. Generally, spacing lifebuoys at intervals of 100 metres is recommended under standard conditions, ensuring that potential rescuers are not more than 50 metres away from the equipment at any given time.
