Based in Iceland, Markus designs a comprehensive range of rescue solutions, including climber nets, scramble nets, fast rescue craft (FRC) nets, evacuation nets, emergency ladders, and the renowned MarkusNet. These man oveboard rescue products are engineered for use across leisure and commercial vessels, as well as offshore platforms. The Markus net stands out for being lightweight, easy to deploy, and compliant with SOLAS standards. Versatile in application, it can function as a ladder or facilitate a horizontal MOB recovery, rolling the individual out of the water safely. Horizontal lifting has become critical in the modern marine industry to prevent Circum Rescue Collapse, ensuring effective and safe rescue operations.
This SOLAS-approved rescue system is built for commercial vessels, offshore installations, and quays. The MarkusNet works as a ladder or lift for seated or horizontal recovery, ensuring safe and efficient rescues.
The Markus FRC Nets are versatile for climbing or parbuckling unconscious MOBs, deploy quickly with a weighted pipe, and come in various sizes (80–240 cm wide, 200–400 cm long), PVC cover colors, and fastening options to suit all vessels.
Designed for use as a ladder or cradle with mechanical lift, the SCN6-12 ranges from 5–12 m in length, suits vessels with up to a 12 m freeboard, and supports workloads under 5 MT, ideal for commercial, supply, passenger, and military vessels.
The SCN range includes models from SCN5-EX to SCN15-EX, with lengths between 10 and 40 metres. There are plenty of mounting options to suit different needs, making installation straightforward and adaptable.
Markus Emergency Ladders offer safe water exits for man-overboard situations. They come in widths of 40–100 cm and lengths of 150–1000 cm. A weighted handle, 30 cm above the waterline, makes it easy to deploy. The ladder extends 1 metre into the water for secure climbing. Includes a white PVC bag, with orange/red or black options available.
Markus lifenet products offer various accessories to enhance deployment and functionality. Link pipes are available in different sizes to make the nets easier to deploy. Additionally, fixing kits are provided for a range of vessel types, ensuring secure and efficient installation.
