MarkusNet Emergency Evacuation Nets - Markus Lifenet Escape/Evacuation Nets - 10 to 40 Metre Emergency Nets with Mounting Options

The Markus Evacuation Nets, type SCN-EX, are designed for offshore vessels and platforms with freeboards from 10m (33') to 40m (133'). Tailored to customer specifications, these nets come in widths from 200cm to 300cm and offer lengths suitable for various installations. They complement SOLAS evacuation systems and are made in accordance with ISO 19898-2019 and ISO 9001-2015 standards. The nets can be fastened either inside a handrail at the deck edge or on a dedicated platform, and are designed to accommodate up to a 20° vessel listing.

Deploying the MarkusNet: To deploy the SCN-EX evacuation net, start by releasing the security strap buckles. Next, lift the upper end pipe and position it into the upper end pipe seats if using a platform version. Remove the locking wire from the locking loops on the cover, then push the lower end pipe over the deck edge or lift it over the rail or bulwark.

Re-packing the MarkusNet: For repacking, pull the pull-in lines until the lower end pipe is level with the evacuation deck, and fasten it in place. Attach the link-pipe to the seat on the anchor poles, then begin folding the net structure into the cover bag starting with the upper end pipe. Lay the pull-in lines in a zig-zag pattern on top, ensuring each line reaches halfway along the bag. Finally, close the cover bag by threading the closing wire through the eyelet webbing loops and secure the ends of the bag with the attached buckle straps.
